Radical Islam to join DNC in Charlotte. What a lucky break for conservative Christians!

Radical Islam is operating in America, is infiltrating our government and culture, and is on the official guest list of the Democratic National Convention (DNC) this September in Charlotte, North Carolina!

The DNC has rolled out the welcome mats – and prayer mats – and has officially sanctioned two days of special Islamic events.  The problem is, the leadership of the Islamic delegation includes people with known links to jihadist terrorists and an unindicted co-conspirator in the New York Trade Tower bombings in the early nineties!

This news should disturb every American – and in particular, every Christian who understands the agenda of radical Muslims to destroy our nation through a stealth process called “civilization jihad.”

In a very disturbing report by RedState.com, we learn that two radical Muslims, both alleged terrorist sympathizers, will be among the high-ranking guests at the Democratic National Convention in early September.

The leaders of this official Democrat Party event, Jibril Hough and Imam Siraj Wahhaj, are being promoted as Muslim “moderates” – yet their histories tell a very different story.

As reported by RedState…

“Imam Siraj Wahhaj is imam of a mosque in Brooklyn, the leader of Muslim Alliance, a group with radical organization affiliations, and an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing.”

Jabril Hough is the leader of a Sunni mosque in Charlotte. His separatist teachings mimic political Islam and the Muslim Brotherhood mindset. Wahhaj is also…in the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), which was also found by the government to be a front for HAMAS and the Muslim Brotherhood.

‘Jumah at the DNC’ will kick off the two-day festival, which includes prayers, a regal banquet, and a day of cultural events and political forums.

The stated goal of the Muslim event is to ‘attract national and international attention to the plight of American Muslims and to hold political parties accountable for issues that affect them.’”

The DNC has turned a blind eye to the radical Islamic infiltration of America.

Can the picture of growing Muslim influence in America be any clearer?

Either the DNC didn’t properly investigate the leaders of these Muslim events they are sponsoring – or they simply don’t care that these two “leaders” of the Muslim convention events are linked to organizations whose stated goal is to destroy America!

That’s why Liberty Counsel Action is asking you and tens of thousands of other friends to join us in petitioning key Members of Congress to get behind Rep. Michele Bachmann’s and the National Security Five’s call for intense investigations into the growing influence of radical Islam inside our nation!

verne, I don’t understand why every believer and every patriotic American would not want to expose people and organizations that are determined to see that our nation falls from within!

Please click here to read and sign our petition of support for these investigations:

http://www.lcaction.cc/663/petition.asp

We cannot allow the misguided political correctness of “head in the sand” officials to bring about the overthrow of our nation!

As additional evidence of the rapidly growing Islamic influence in our national government, I mentioned the following facts yesterday…

*In April, President Obama lifted a sanction and released $1.5 billion in military aid and supplies to the Egyptian military – now under the direct control of the Muslim Brotherhood.

*President Obama also called the Egyptian Arab Spring uprising a “success” which ultimately led to the election of President Mohammed Morsi – thus guaranteeing the Muslim Brotherhood political power in that nation.

*Huma Abedin, Secretary of State Hilary Clinton’s deputy chief of staff and an advisor to Secretary Clinton on Middle East policy, was reportedly a member of the executive board of the Muslim Student Association (MSA). The MSA has also been recognized as a Muslim Brotherhood front group. Ms. Abedin’s family members are also alleged to have ties to radical Muslim groups, including the Muslim Brotherhood.

The Muslim Brotherhood is now imposing a systematic “sanitation” of those who oppose radical Islam in Egypt, including reports of torture and/or death of anyone opposed to the control of President Mohammed Morsi.

Similar oppression of non-Muslims has occurred in every nation where the Muslim Brotherhood has power or growing influence!

For maximum impact, Liberty Counsel Action has been calling on friends of LCA for 50,000 initial signatures on this powerful petition – which means I need your signature today if at all possible!  They will be delivered to Members of Congress and other targeted officials when Congress reconvenes in early September.

With over 46,200 signers so far, we hope to make this happen this weekend! Please don’t let political correctness or a sense of complacency keep you from being part of this vital petition.

http://www.lcaction.cc/663/petition.asp

Will you be one of the 3,800 friends who put us over the top? Please respond to this vital issue of national security!

P.S. The DNC is either unaware or uncaring about the radical Muslims who are headlining two days of Islamic events at their convention.  This is further evidence that political correctness is overshadowing our national leadership’s ability to exercise due diligence!

Wake County leaves non-citizens on the voter rolls -- liberals give it a pass.

Verne Strickland Blogmaster / August 24, 2012

By | Posted in Elections & Campaigns | August 23, 2012
It sounds as if Jay Delancy of Voter Integrity Project (VIP) was a bit disappointed after the hearing at the Wake County Board of Elections yesterday.  You will remember that VIP had discovered hundreds of “citizens” who claimed to be citizens when they registered to vote and then claimed to be non-citizens when they were called to jury duty in Wake County.

VIP compared the list they received from the Wake County Clerk of Court’s office and matched, to the best of their ability, the names to voters on the rolls.  They then challenged the voter registrations of those people who said they were not citizens to the jury summons and said they were citizens on the voter registration form.

Delancy admitted to being frustrated – and who could blame him?

Laura Leslie (a reporter from WRAL) asked Delancy, “Sir doesn’t the law say that they have to presume (because it’s a constitutional right to vote) they have to presume that these people that they are legit unless there is proof they are not?”  Delancy replied, “If someone provides a document to the clerk of court that they are not a citizen – to me that is proof, but obviously to this board, (Wake County Board of Elections) it is not.

When asked by another reporter, “Why should the average voter (who is a citizen) be concerned about what’s going on?  Delancy answered; “The average voter should be afraid because we have a lot of people walking around North Carolina right now who are not citizens who are registered to vote (we just found a few of them) and the board of elections has made it clear they want to take them on the voter roll – I fear for our elections .”

No doubt, speaking on behalf of that the State Board of Elections, Bob Hall interrupted Delancy’s interview by saying “You have wasted the taxpayer’s time.”  Hall is Director of the ultra-liberal advocacy group Democracy NC and works closely with the State Board of Elections.  He admonished Delancy for researching the voter rolls to find people who are registered illegally and proceeded to suggest possible scenarios as to why the people in question might not be illegal voters.

Hall finally exited Delancy’s interview by saying that “I agree with you, we don’t want citizens to be voting.”  (Hall frequently resorts to silliness when he is talking to someone with whom he disagrees)  Outside of the State Board of Elections, only the old liberal media look to Bob Hall for his opinions.

Hall should read NCGS 163-85, he would see that the statute reads: Any registered voter of the county may challenge the right of any person to register, remain registered or vote in such county. Reporters like Laura Leslie like to call Hall a watchdog,  but really he is just a lapdog for the liberal left and funders like George Soros and even Capitol Broadcasting’s Chairman, Jim Goodmon – reporter Leslie’s boss.

North Carolina’s voter rolls are a mess.  Non-citizens populate the voter list along with the deceased and absolutely no law prevent them from voting.  VIP is doing their best to identify names that should not be on the rolls, both dead and non-citizens.  You see, they must do this work, because the State Board of Elections will not and in doing this work VIP has emabarrased Gary Bartlett, Director of the State Board of Elections – that is why Bob Hall popped into the interview.

And on that note – there is some good news – it looks like the work VIP has done in several counties to identify deceased voters has shamed the Board of Elections into at least looking like they are attempting to look for the deceased in the rolls.  I received the email below yesterday – it’s from the State Board of Elections to the County Board’s Directors.   The email directs the counties to work with a new audit report to identify voters who have died and should be removed.  (The list consists of people who died between 2002 and August 2012).

VIP is making a difference and you can too, don’t let bullies like Bob Hall stop you.

DNC will close Charlotte cancer clinics during national confab. Say what?

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -
On Tuesday, September 4th, the DNC will officially kick off. Tens of thousands from around the world will head to the Queen City and there's no secret, the convention will have a major impact locally, including on people battling cancer.

Matthews resident Sue Falco is fighting stage four colon cancer, and says the DNC will force a major cancer treatment center to close. Carolina's Hematology Oncology Associates on South Tryon will close for four days during the DNC, because of security and traffic concerns.

"It's kind of fascinating how an event like this impacts a city," Falco said.

Carolina's Hematology Oncology Associates will have two other locations open around Mecklenburg County during the DNC. An employee says South Tryon patients will be able to receive treatment at the two other locations.

"I'm very fortunate that I can drive myself to and from chemotherapy but I know a lot of people depend on family members who have to drive a distance to get to their therapy," she said.

WBTV reached out to management at Carolinas Hematology Oncology Associates for comment, but did not hear back. Falco says she understands the office will close because of its proximity to the convention.

GOP Platform Committee rebuffs weakening traditional marriage.

Verne Strickland Blogmaster / Thursday, August 23, 2012

By Bethany Monk, CitizenLink:

Republicans working to craft the party’s platform before the RNC 2012 National Convention gets under way next week rejected two proposals on Tuesday which would have changed the GOP’s position on marriage.

Rhode Island Delegate Barbara Fenton proposed replacing the plank endorsing marriage as the union of one man and one woman with language advocating civil unions for both same-sex and heterosexual couples.

“That was discussed and briefly debated,” said Gregg Keller, executive director of the American Conservative Union. “That went down pretty decisively, however. The argument that was generally advanced by the people pushing the proposal was the separation of church and state, and the idea that government should not be ‘meddling’ in these institutions — that they should just get out of it altogether.”

Nevada Delegate Pat Kerby proposed an amendment which would add support for same-sex civil unions to the party’s support for the definition of marriage as the union of one man and one woman.

“We can take this stance and still keep our commitment to the institution of marriage,” Kerby said. His proposal also was quickly voted down.

Meanwhile, the closest vote of the day concerned language supporting abstinence education in public schools. It was one of the few times the platform committee needed to record a tally instead of using a voice vote, Keller said.

Ultimately, the resolution passed 41-35.

“I think there was some concern in the room that as conservatives and Republicans, we believe in local control of education — that people on the ground, parents and school boards, are the best arbiters of the education their children receive,” he explained. “The concern was that we say we believe in local control, but here we are dictating, potentially from afar, the kind of education children on the ground will be receiving.

"There was a concern from a member in Alabama who said there are boys and girls in their teenage years that are sexually active. This particular member thought that is a fact of life, and we were faced with two options: We could either try to help children who are sexually active by means of giving them schooling in STDs, contraception and the like, or we could not give them some of the tools this member thinks they believe they need because they are sexually active,” Keller asserted.

Despite the debate, the overall platform is resoundingly conservative. The language drafted will go through an editing phase before the Republican National Convention begins on Aug. 27.

“People were really pleased about where the document started,” Keller said, “and even more pleased about where it is today in terms of protecting conservative values.”

Republicans launch TV ad against Mike McIntyre

 Verne Strickland Blogmaster / August 21, 2012

This post has been updated with the McIntyre campaign’s response to the ad.

The National Republican Congressional Committee late last week began airing television ads criticizing U.S. Rep. Mike McIntyre’s support of President Barack Obama’s economic stimulus package. The ad says the taxpayer-funded stimulus was used for foreign companies and to create jobs in China.

“More taxes, more spending, more jobs overseas. Is that what’s best for us?” the narrator says in the ad.

View the ad.

Republicans repeatedly have sought to link McIntyre to Obama’s policies. McIntyre’s campaign counters that he is an independent voice for the district. McIntyre faces Republican state Sen. David Rouzer of Johnston County in the 7th Congressional District, which includes all or parts of 12 Southeastern North Carolina counties.

In its response to the ad, the McIntyre campaign listed beneficiaries of stimulus dollars, saying McIntyre has “always sought to help give our area an economic advantage by helping rural communities, fire departments, law enforcement, our schools, and dredging and beach projects – all of which have had a positive impact on Southeastern North Carolina.”

McIntyre, his campaign said in a statement, has also voted to eliminate the marriage tax, voted for the original Bush tax cuts in 2001 and 2003 and to extend them permanently, and voted to eliminate the marriage tax.

His campaign also said McIntyre has fought to preserve Social Security and Medicare and is a friend to small businesses as evidenced by his recent endorsement from the National Federation of Independent Business.

Carolina Beach business owner would have closed shop if forced to remove flags.

Verne Strickland Blogmaster / August 19, 2012

By Judy Royal / StarNewsOnline

A Carolina Beach business owner feels so strongly about his patriotism that he was prepared to close up shop for it.
Randy Wood, a veteran and owner of Red Hotz Electric Car Rentals at 515 N. Lake Park Blvd., said he would have shut down in 24 hours if he had to remove the 16 patriotic flags that fly around his building. But the Town Council's 4-1 vote last week making patriotic flags exempt from the sign ordinance will keep him here, he said.
"I would've pulled it," Wood said Friday. "I'd already be gone right now if it hadn't gone the way it did on Tuesday night."
Councilwoman Sarah Friede voted against the exemption because it also meant unlimited patriotic flags can fly in residential areas, and she expressed concerns about that.
"I don't know that I'm in agreement with unlimited anything, frankly," she said. "An unlimited display of anything is not necessarily in good taste. Where the line is between respect and disrespect, I don't know."
But other council members said restrictions would send the wrong message to service men and women who spend their money here.
"I don't have a problem with having patriotic flags really unlimited in our town," Councilman Bob Lewis said. "I agree the military enjoy seeing the display of patriotism we have in our town. I think it's great."
At issue were the 16 patriotic flags that have been flying on the Red Hotz lot since last summer. An ordinance the Town Council adopted in June classified all flags as signs and limited the number allowed to one per 50 feet of space a business owns along the road. Under that rule, two would be permissible at Red Hotz.

NRCC reserves nearly $10 million in ad time in 12 Districts -- $830,000 for Rouzer/McIntyre NC/7.

    August 17, 2012 | 3:28 p.m.

Updated at 6:14 p.m. to reflect updated information about the targeting of the Des Moines, Iowa buy.
The National Republican Congressional Committee has reserved additional time for fall TV advertising in 12 congressional districts totaling over $9.6 million, according to a source with knowledge of the buys. That boosts the NRCC's fall reservations to over $44.5 million, though the buys are not yet final. Several of the reservations were reported in local media today.
The TV reservations will go toward protecting six Republican-held districts and boosting the GOP in five Democratic-held districts, plus one merged seat where Democratic Rep. Leonard Boswell and Republican Rep. Tom Latham are facing off (Iowa's 3rd District). Republican Reps. Bobby Schilling (Ill.-17), Charlie Bass (N.H.-2), Chris Gibson (N.Y.-19), Ann Marie Buerkle (N.Y.-24) and Quico Canseco (Texas-23) are slated to be backed by the new buy, as will the open Republican seat in Arizona's 1st District. All but King are freshmen.
The Democratic members targeted with the new reservations are Reps. Bruce Braley (Iowa-1), Dave Loebsack (Iowa-2), Mike McIntyre (N.C.-7), Bill Owens (N.Y.-21), and Kathy Hochul (N.Y.-27). The NRCC began airing an ad against McIntyre Friday.
On the Democratic side of things, House Majority PAC reserved time in California and New York totaling $2.2 million. The Democratic-aligned super PAC reserved $1.2 million in the New York City media market to go after New York's 18th District, represented by Republican Rep. Nan Hayworth, and it reserved $1 million in Los Angeles to go after the open, Republican-held California 26th District.
Below the jump, a full list of the new NRCC reservations:
Arizona's 1st District (Republican, open): $901,580 (Phoenix) from Sept. 7 through Oct. 4.
Iowa's 1st District (Democratic, Braley): $356,800 (Cedar Rapids) from Sept. 7 through Sept. 27.
Iowa's 2nd District (Democratic, Loebsack): $719,130 (Davenport) from Sept. 7 through Oct. 18.
Iowa's 3rd District (merged, Boswell/Latham): $391,800 (Des Moines) from Oct. 19 through Nov. 6. (This buy could also go toward Iowa-2 as well.)
    Illinois's 17th District (Republican, Schilling): $733,570 (Davenport ($479,275) and Rockford ($254,295)) from Sept. 7 through Oct. 4.

North Carolina's 7th District (Democratic, McIntyre): $830,980 (Raleigh) from August 24- Oct. 4.

New Hampshire's 2nd District (Republican, Bass): $1,140,750 (Manchester) from Sept. 2- Oct. 18.
New York's 19th District (Republican, Gibson): $757,740 (Albany) from Sept. 21 through Nov. 6.
New York's 21st District (Democratic, Owens): $757,485 (Albany) from Sept. 21 through Oct. 6.
New York's 24th District (Republican, Buerkle): $1,035,130 (Syracuse) from Sept. 7 through Nov. 6.
New York's 27th District (Democratic, Hochul): $574,423 (Buffalo) from Sept. 21 through Oct. 6.
Texas's 23rd (Republican, Canseco): $1,130,395 (San Antonio) from Sept. 7 through Oct. 18.
