The Cross at Ground Zero as It was Found -- Beaten But Unbowed.
This is the version of the Cross at Ground Zero that I wanted -- dirty, disheveled, forlorn, beaten but unbowed, as it was found. When it was removed to a pedestal, it lost its meaning for me.
